Not everyone has as unusual ideas as we girls from Double Trouble (@double.trouble.czech). When we saw the GymRoom concept and were at a branch with the developer of the whole reservation system, we immediately said that it was a great opportunity. And our curiosity led us to the owners Alex and Kamil. And that is how we started our journey.

We didn't just gain a franchise, but also great friends. We are united by enthusiasm for the project. We try to improve everything as much as possible for you, our clients, and we are thrilled that you're interested in how the Žižkov branch actually came to be.

What does a self-service gym involve? Courage. As with any business – if you dive in and don't give up, it will work out in the end. And if it hasn't worked out yet, it means you have to push even harder. Terka and I had the courage and, despite having little experience, we decided we'd learn everything on the go.

We understood all the processes that were already working at the existing branch. We handled legal matters and had lots of meetings with the guys, where we discussed, negotiated, and set conditions so they would be as good as possible for all parties. The more we did that, the more everything became real. Soon we were waiting for confirmation of the premises, handover dates, and the start of construction modifications so we could fine-tune everything to the last detail.

We celebrated every small success and believed that everything would go smoothly. And so it did. The guys liked our ideas and we gradually improved many little things on the website and in email communication. We want to introduce this system to everyone, especially girls who are afraid to go to public gyms.

We also want no girl to be afraid to start a project that may seem too big. We did it and you can do it too. So, will you own your own gym as well?
